The default for client communications from TD is electronic. Clients will need an AdvisorClient login in order to access their statements, trade confirmations and tax documents.
The client will need access to advisorclient.com, TD's institutional client portal, to view these documents. There are two ways a client gets access to advisorclient.com
1. The client will receive an email from TD after their first account is opened with a welcome message from TD and an option to create an online account at advisorclient.com. If the client does not set up their account right away, they can do so any time by going to advisorclient.com and clicking the "get started" button. We've attached a one-page guide to this article. Feel free to share the attachment with clients to help them set up their account!
2. If you prefer to get this set up on your client's behalf, you can do that too! In Veo, you will click Account Management > Client Web Admin. From there you will see a list of all your clients and their accounts. Clients who have already set up an advisorclient.com account will have a User ID next to their accounts in blue. For anyone who does not have a User ID already set up, you can hit the "Create" link next to their name to set one up for them!
After clicking "Create", you will add a user ID, first and last name, and email address in section A. Then in section B you will add any accounts to the user ID so the client can view all their accounts in one spot, assuming they have more than one account. The final step is to select if they have trading permission on each account linked to their User ID.
After all the info is entered correctly, click review in the bottom left corner to complete the set up. Please note that you will need to email the log-in details to the client, they will not receive a notification from TD.
We hope this helped you out! As always, if you have any questions or need help, email the XYIS service team at support@xyinvestmentsolutions.com. Thank you!
