There will be occasions when you need to move an account from your shared rep code with XYIS and RobustWealth to your individual rep code. If this situation ever arises, here is a quick cheat sheet to help with that! The basics of the process are straightforward.
First, each account will need to have two revoking Limited Power of Attorney forms (attached below) submitted, one for XYIS and one for RobustWealth. Each form will have the same basic details with the exception of changing the name of the IA you're revoking.
In the top section, you will enter your client's account number and your individual rep code.
In section one, you will enter your client's name and SSN.
Section two will contain your firm name in box 1, then your name as the primary contact in box 2. Below that you will need to check the box to remove an existing advisor from the account. In the line for the "Prior IA Firm Name" enter XYIS on one form and RobustWealth on the other.
The rest of section two will be up to you on if you will be authorized to trade or bill on the account.
After sections 1 and 2 are filled out properly, all you need to do is send the LPOAs to your client to sign. This can be done via TD's DocuSign or with a wet signature. Once signed, they will go to TD for processing. If completed using TD's DocuSign, these forms are automatically submitted once signed by the client. If you get a client's wet signature, you can submit this form via TD's Message Center. Once TD's processing is complete, the rep code will be officially changed and XYIS and RobustWealth will no longer serve as subadvisors for that account.
Pro-tip: Accounts removed from the shared rep code will not automatically be removed from XYIS. Once an account is officially removed from the shared rep code, please notify the XYIS support team and we will make sure it is also removed from your platform.
